5 Tasty Events to Enjoy This March

With spring on its way, now is a great time to come out of hibernation for these fun food festivities

Pie & Mash Pop-Up Shop 

Sundays March 1—April 5

Chef Kieron Hales, a native of England, brings a bit of his homeland to the States with these savory pies. Each week will feature a unique filling, like Chicken Tikka Masala, Chestnut and Mushroom, Steak and Stilton and more. Pies will be available for preorder online, or in person at the farm. Guests are welcome to take their food to go, or enjoy a meal at one of the farmhouse tables.
Cost: $19 per meal, available for preorder online or in person 

Indian Brunch Pop–Up 

March 8 
12—3 p.m. 
Urbanrest Brewing Company, 2615 Wolcott St., Ferndale 

Preeti’s Catering teams up with Urbanrest Brewing Company to bring a five-dish menu to this tasty pop-up. Traditional Indian dishes like Pindi Chole and Bohri-style Keema Samosas will be served, as well as a dessert with a western twist: Gulabjamun cupcakes.

Soul’s Seafood Mixer

March 13

Participants can choose from four different seafood bags to dine on: shrimp, crab, both — or double of both! All bags also include potatoes, corn, smoked beef sausage, egg, butter sauce and lemon, as well as a drink and dessert. A cash bar will also be available.

Tequila & Taco Bar Crawl Detroit 

March 21

Margarita Crawl USA is bringing one of its most popular events to the Motor City. This free-roam event will feature food and drink specials at participating venues. All participants will receive an event cup, koozie and drink specials. VIP tickets will also include a t-shirt, VIP badge and a coupon for a complimentary drink.

Ettn Good Taste Fest 2.0 

March 21 
4—9 p.m. 
International Institute of Metro Detroit, 111 East Kirby St., Detroit 

This festival will feature food from Whipped by Whitt, Yell Sweets, Loaded On The Go and more! Each admission purchase includes three meal tickets, with more available to buy at the event. Drinks and shopping will be available onsite.
